From a production standpoint Episode 7 highlights both the pros and cons of decentralized collaboration in Web3. Let's start with a W, the first ever song from a published Web3 musician is being played in our show... To those paying attention in the scene, the name @Vegagenesis and Junior Jr. should come as no surprise. This super-artist wears / touts a Clone X avatar and is a creative force of the future to be reckoned with.
Now let's talk about an L turned into a W as a result of decentralized collaboration. The voiceover artist/community member who originally voiced Kevin in all previous episodes had a very positive life-changing event occur that would prohibit him from participating in our future episodes. This meant we needed to find a replacement.
When groups of people are working collaboratively and passionately all across the world, schedule coordination and unexpected events can cause issues that impact a project. However, because we're a decentralized media company that is built with the help of community members all across the world, this is also a "pro", because finding an incredible new talent to voice and play Kevin occurred extremely quickly. We auditioned several potential voices we sourced from within our WL/Alpha group chats on Twitter, and ended up selecting the extremely talented rapper, hiphip producer and comedic Twitter Spaces Host personality (we're calling him that), "The Crypto Rap God." aka (@DeeHouseMF). Our entire team is confident you'll love him as the new voice of Kevin and we're proud to be working together!
